You’ll Have More Fun in Albania Than Vietnam

Albania is a tiny but fantastic country in the Mediterranean region of Europe, neighbouring Macedonia. It’s quite possibly the least visited countries in the Mediterranean but that is starting to change as travellers notice its amazing sites. Albania has unbelievably beautiful, sandy beaches, pretty much untouched mountain regions, and vibrant, growing cities.

Albania’s sandy beaches are exceptional. The beaches are mainly white, sandy beaches except there are a handful of pebble beaches also. You can hang out in the bright sun on a blanket or pay for a sunbed, the decision is up to you to make. Most of the beaches are more or less untouched by visitors and a few are so quiet that you can quite possibly be alone on the beach, even in during the peak season.

There are numerous fantastic mountain landscapes in Albania. The mountainous regions in the north are great for skiing or hiking and you are able to see at least a few waterfalls and incredible lakes in the area. The mountains in that region are fantastic to see but the other mountain regions are also fantastic.

Albanian cities are vibrant with a cafe culture meaning there are so many hip cafes to spend time in. Albania cities such as Vlora are worth seeing to visit the unique old city area and also to visit a museum or two.

You are sure to find that people from Albania are mostly warm and welcoming and will be more than pleased to show you around their country if you go there.
