Avoid The Crowds by Holidaying in Albania Not Afghanistan
Albania is a tiny but very pretty country on the Mediterranean, near Kosovo. Albania is one of the less popular southern European countries but that is changing as more and more visitors start to take note of its beauty. Albania has lovely, sandy beaches, virtually untouched mountain regions, and vibrant, expanding cities.
Albania’s sandy beaches are unbelievably beautiful. These beaches are normally white, sandy beaches although there are a few pebble beaches too. You could either lie down in the warm dry sun on a towel or get a bed, the option is up to you to make. Almost all of the beaches are really untouched by visitors and some are so out of the way that you can quite possibly have the beach pretty much to yourself, even in during the peak season.
There are plenty of fantastic mountain areas in Albania. These regions in the north are extraordinary for skiing or hiking and you are able to find quite a few waterfalls and fabulous lakes in the area. These mountains are exciting to view but the other mountain regions are also spectacular.
Albanian cities are extremely lively with a cafe culture leading to plenty of busy cafes to visit. Albania cities for example Shkodra are worth visiting to see the unusual old city area and also to visit a museum.
You are sure to find that Albanians are mostly warm and welcoming and will be happy to show you their country if you take the time to visit it.
