Albania is a fairly small but adorable country in the south of Europe, fairly close to Macedonia. This country is one of the less often visited countries in Europe but that is changing as people notice its wonderful beauty. This country has wonderful, sandy beaches, virtually untouched mountain regions, and vibrant, expanding cities.
Albania’s pure white sandy beaches are extraordinary. The beaches are most often white, sandy beaches but there are a handful of pebble beaches also. You could if you like have fun in the warm dry sun on a mat or hire a sun bed, the choice is up to you to make. Many of the beaches are really untouched by foreign tourists and a couple are so remote that you could possibly have the beach to yourself, even in in during popular times.
There are a number of mountainous landscapes in Albania. The mountainous regions in the north are ideal for skiing or hiking and you are able to visit many waterfalls and perfect lakes in that part of the country. The mountains in that area are wonderful to view but the other mountain regions are also fantastic.
Albanian cities are very vibrant with a cafe culture meaning there are huge numbers of hip cafes to relax in. Albania cities for example Durres are worth visiting to visit the unusual old city area and possibly to visit a museum.
You are sure to find that Albanians are mostly friendly and will be more than glad to show you around their country if you take the time to visit.
