Albania is a fairly small but very beautiful country in the Balkans, close to Serbia. This country is quite possibly the least visited countries in the Mediterranean but that will change before you know it as more people start to appreciate its fantastic sites. Without a doubt Albania has lovely, white sandy beaches, pristine mountain regions, and bustling, improving cities.
Albania’s pure white sandy beaches are extraordinary. Albanian beaches are generally white, sandy beaches except there are a dozen pebble beaches as well. You can sit down in the hot dry sun on a mat or lease a sunbed, the decision is yours to make. Almost all of the beaches are more or less untouched by foreign visitors and a couple are so quiet that you could have the beach pretty much to yourself, even in in during popular times.
There are a number of beautiful mountain places in Albania. The mountains in the north are great for skiing or hiking and you can possibly find a few waterfalls and fabulous lakes in that part of the country. The mountains in the north are exciting to see but the other mountain regions are also amazing.
Albanian cities are vibrant with a cafe culture meaning there are huge numbers of cool cafes to relax in. Albania cities for example Vlora are worth spending a few days in to see the historic old city area and possibly to visit a museum.
Most Albanian people are very friendly and will be more than glad to show you around their country if you are there.
