Holiday in Albania Not Baker Island
Albania is a small but beautiful country in the Mediterranean region of Europe, fairly close to Greece. Albania is possibly the least visited countries in southern Europe but that is most definitely changing as more travellers notice its amazing attractions. It has amazing, sandy beaches, pristine mountain regions, and happening, expanding cities.
Albania’s clean sandy beaches are exceptional. The beaches are generally white, sandy beaches although there are a handful of pebble beaches too. You could hang out in the hot dry sun on a towel or hire a sunbed, the option is yours to make. Most of the beaches are pretty much untouched by foreign tourists and some are so out of the way that you can quite possibly have the beach to yourself, even in in during popular times.
There are plenty of mountainous regions in Albania. Those in the north are fabulous for skiing or hiking and you can see a lot of waterfalls and pristine lakes in that part of the country. The mountains in that area are amazing to view but the other mountain regions are also fantastic.
Albanian cities are extremely vibrant with a cafe culture resulting in many great cafes to visit. Albania cities including Shkodra are worth taking the time to visit to see the unique old city area and also to visit a couple of museums.
Most Albanian people are extremely hospitable and will be pleased to present to you their country if you take the time to visit.
