I Prefer Albania Over Northern Mariana Islands
Albania is a tiny but very beautiful country on the Mediterranean, not too far from Macedonia. Albania is currently one of the less popular countries in southern Europe but that is about to change as more tourists realise its fantastic sites. Without a doubt Albania has amazing, clean sandy beaches, pretty much untouched mountain regions, and young, expanding cities.
Albania’s white sandy beaches are unbelievable. Albanian beaches are normally white, sandy beaches except there are a few pebble beaches too. You could either spend time in the warm sun on a towel or pay for a bed, the choice is up to you to make. A lot of the beaches are really untouched by foreign tourists and a couple are so remote that you could possibly be alone on the beach, even in in the peak season.
There are plenty of fantastic mountain regions in Albania. The mountainous areas in the north are exceptional for skiing or hiking and you are able to see a lot of waterfalls and spectacular lakes in the region. Those mountains are fabulous to see but the other mountain regions are also brilliant.
Albanian cities are fun with a cafe culture meaning there are plenty of trendy cafes to relax in. Albania cities such as Tropoja are worth spending a few days in to view the unusual old city area and possibly to visit a museum or two.
The Albanian people are very warm and will be pleased to show you their country if you are there.
