Visit Albania Not Baker Island

Albania is a relatively small but pretty country in the Balkans, neighbouring Italy. Albania is one of the less popular European countries but that is most definitely changing as more and more people appreciate its amazing sites. Albania has wonderful, pure white sandy beaches, more or less untouched mountain regions, and happening, expanding cities.

Albania’s white sandy beaches are fantastic. These beaches are generally white, sandy beaches although there are a dozen pebble beaches as well. You could if you like sit down in the hot dry sun on a blanket or lease a sun lounge, the decision is yours. Most of the beaches are really untouched by foreigners and a couple are so quiet that you could have the beach pretty much to yourself, even in during the peak season.

There are plenty of fantastic mountain landscapes in Albania. Those in the north are fantastic for skiing or hiking and you can view a few waterfalls and fabulous lakes in that part of the country. These mountains are great to visit but the other mountain regions are also fantastic.

Albanian cities are bustling with a cafe culture meaning there are a lot of local cafes to relax in. Albania cities including Saranda are worth seeing to view the historic old city area and also to visit a couple of museums.

You will most likely find that Albanians are extremely welcoming and will be more than glad to show you their country if you take the time to visit.
