You’ll Have a Better Holiday in Albania Than Greece
Albania is a tiny but fun country in the Balkans, not far from Macedonia. Albania is currently one of the less popular southern European countries but that is about to change as more and more people become aware of its amazing sites. It has amazing, clean sandy beaches, pretty much untouched mountain regions, and young, expanding cities.
Albania’s sandy beaches are amazing. These beaches are usually white, sandy beaches although of course there are a handful of pebble beaches too. You can if you want sit down in the hot sun on a mat or get a bed, the choice is up to you to make. Plenty of the beaches are totally untouched by foreign tourists and a number are so remote that you can quite possibly be at the beach without anyone else, even in summer.
There are a number of interesting mountain places in Albania. The mountains in the north are great for skiing or hiking and you are able to visit a couple of waterfalls and incredible lakes in that part of the country. Those mountains are wonderful to see but the other mountain regions are also fantastic.
Albanian cities are extremely vibrant with a cafe culture so there are plenty of busy cafes to choose from. Albania cities such as Tropoja are worth taking the time to visit to view the unusual old city area and not to mention to visit a couple of museums.
Without a doubt you will find that Albanians are very friendly and will be glad to show you their country if you go there.
