Albania is a fairly small but cute country in the Balkan region, very close to Montenegro. This country is quite possibly the least visited European countries but that is most definitely changing as more tourists start to take note of its wonderful beauty. This country has unbelievably beautiful, sandy beaches, more or less untouched mountain regions, and happening, expanding cities.

Albania’s pure white sandy beaches are exceptional. These beaches are normally white, sandy beaches although of course there are some pebble beaches also. You could if you like sit in the hot dry sun on a mat or pay for a sun bed, the option is yours. A lot of the beaches are pretty much untouched by foreign visitors and a few are so quiet that you can quite possibly be alone on the beach, even in in during popular times.

There are many mountain areas in Albania. The mountainous regions in the north are brilliant for skiing or hiking and you can find a lot of waterfalls and clean lakes in the region. Those mountains are brilliant to visit but the other mountain regions are also amazing.

Albanian cities are extremely vibrant with a cafe culture leading to huge numbers of cool cafes to hang out in. Albania cities including Elbasan are worth taking the time to visit to visit the unique old city area and also to visit a couple of museums.

Albanians are very warm and welcoming and will be more than pleased to take you around their country if you spend some time there.
