Albania is a little but pretty country in the south of Europe, not too far from Greece. Albania is one of the less popular Mediterranean countries but that is slowly changing as more travellers realise its fantastic sites. Albania has gorgeous, pure white sandy beaches, more of less virgin mountain regions, and bustling, expanding cities.
Albania’s clean sandy beaches are extraordinary. These beaches are mostly white, sandy beaches although there are a handful of pebble beaches too. You can if you like sit in the warm sun on a rug or hire a sun bed, the decision is up to you. A lot of the beaches are virtually untouched by visitors and a few are so out of the way that you can possibly have the beach all to yourself, even in summer.
There are many mountainous areas in Albania. The mountainous areas in the north are amazing for skiing or hiking and you can also see at least a couple of waterfalls and perfect lakes in the region. The mountains in the north are fabulous to view but the other mountain regions are also beautiful.
Albanian cities are vibrant with a cafe culture resulting in so many cool cafes to go to. Albania cities for example Shkodra are worth seeing to view the unique old city area and not to mention to visit a museum or two.
