Avoid The Crowds by Holidaying in Albania Not Chile

Albania is a relatively small but fun country in the Balkans, very close to Croatia. This country is possibly the least visited countries in the Mediterranean but that is slowly changing as more tourists realise its wonderful beauty. Albania has extraordinary, sandy beaches, more of less virgin mountain regions, and happening, growing cities.

Albania’s sandy beaches are wonderful. The beaches are most often white, sandy beaches but of course there are some pebble beaches too. You can lie down in the bright sun on a blanket or hire a sun lounge, the option is yours to make. Many of the beaches are pretty much untouched by foreign tourists and a couple are so quiet that you can have the beach pretty much all to yourself, even in during peak times.

There are many mountain landscapes in Albania. The mountainous regions in the north are absolutely amazing for skiing or hiking and you can also visit plenty of waterfalls and astonishing lakes in the region. The mountains in that region are fabulous to visit but the other mountain regions are also fantastic.

Albanian cities are vibrant with a cafe culture meaning there are plenty of hip cafes to hang out in. Albania cities including Fier are worth visiting to view the historic old city area and possibly to visit a museum.

You will most likely find that Albanians are very welcoming and will be pleased to present to you their country if you are there.
