Avoid The Crowds by Holidaying in Albania Not Turkey
Albania is a very small but fantastic country in southern Europe, neighbouring Italy. Albania is possibly the least visited countries in the Mediterranean but that has already started to change as more and more people realise its amazing beauty. This country has unbelievably beautiful, white sandy beaches, more or less untouched mountain regions, and happening, growing cities.
Albania’s sandy beaches are extraordinary. The beaches are mainly white, sandy beaches except there are a few pebble beaches as well. You can have fun in the hot sun on a towel or lease a sunbed, the option is up to you. Many of the beaches are pretty much untouched by foreign visitors and some are so remote that you can possibly have the beach pretty much all to yourself, even in during the peak season.
There are quite a few interesting mountain places in Albania. Those in the north are perfect for skiing or hiking and you can possibly find a few waterfalls and pristine lakes in the area. Those mountains are great to see but the other mountain regions are also fantastic.
Albanian cities are vibrant with a cafe culture resulting in huge numbers of busy cafes to go to. Albania cities including Gjirokastra are worth taking the time to visit to visit the historic old city area and also to visit a few museums.
You are sure to find that Albanians are mostly friendly and will be more than happy to show you their country if you take the time to visit it.
