Holiday in Albania Not Christmas Island
Albania is a very small but adorable country on the Mediterranean, very close to Kosovo. This country is probably the least visited southern European countries but that is about to change as more and more people take note of its wonderful attractions. Without a doubt Albania has wonderful, clean sandy beaches, more or less untouched mountain regions, and fun, improving cities.
Albania’s sandy beaches are wonderful. These beaches are mostly white, sandy beaches although there are a dozen or so pebble beaches too. You can either hang out in the hot dry sun on a mat or hire a lounge, the decision is yours. Plenty of the beaches are virtually untouched by foreign visitors and a couple are so quiet that you can quite possibly have the beach pretty much to yourself, even in during peak times.
There are many beautiful mountain regions in Albania. The mountains in the north are fabulous for skiing or hiking and you are able to see a lot of waterfalls and amazing lakes in that part of the country. The mountains in that region are exciting to view but the other mountain regions are also brilliant.
Albanian cities are vibrant with a cafe culture meaning there are hundreds of cool cafes to go to. Albania cities such as Saranda are worth taking the time to visit to see the historic old city area and not to mention to visit a museum or two.
Most Albanian people are extremely welcoming and will be more than pleased to present to you their country if you spend time there.
