I Prefer Albania Over Antarctica
Albania is a relatively tiny but fantastic country in south eastern Europe, not far from Croatia. It’s quite possibly the least visited countries in southern Europe but that is changing as more and more travellers start to take notice of its fantastic sites. Without a doubt Albania has unbelievable, white sandy beaches, virgin mountain regions, and young, changing cities.
Albania’s pure white sandy beaches are extraordinary. These beaches are usually white, sandy beaches but of course there are a couple of pebble beaches too. You can if you like have fun in the warm sun on a rug or lease a sun lounge, the choice is up to you. Many of the beaches are really untouched by foreign visitors and a few are so quiet that you could possibly have the beach pretty much all to yourself, even in August.
There are a number of mountain regions in Albania. These regions in the north are lovely for skiing or hiking and you can also visit plenty of waterfalls and perfect lakes in that part of the country. The mountains in the north are fantastic to visit but the other mountain regions are also brilliant.
Albanian cities are bustling with a cafe culture resulting in plenty of busy cafes to spend time in. Albania cities for example Elbasan are worth spending time in to visit the unique old city area and not to mention to visit a few museums.
Albanians are mostly friendly and will be more than happy to present to you their country if you take the time to visit.
