I Prefer Albania Over New Caledonia
Albania is a tiny but very beautiful country in the Balkan region, very close to Kosovo. It’s possibly the least visited countries in the Mediterranean but that is starting to change as tourists start to appreciate its amazing sites. Without a doubt Albania has beautiful, pure white sandy beaches, virgin mountain regions, and lively, growing cities.
Albania’s white sandy beaches are unbelievable. Albanian beaches are generally white, sandy beaches but of course there are some pebble beaches too. You could lie down in the hot sun on a towel or get a sun lounge, the choice is yours to make. Plenty of the beaches are totally untouched by foreign tourists and a number are so quiet that you could possibly be alone on the beach, even in in the peak season.
There are quite a few fantastic mountain places in Albania. The mountainous regions in the north are amazing for skiing or hiking and you can also visit many waterfalls and clean lakes in the region. The mountains in that region are wonderful to see but the other mountain regions are also amazing.
Albanian cities are vibrant with a cafe culture leading to many trendy cafes to go to. Albania cities including Tirana are worth spending a few days in to visit the unique old city area and possibly to visit a museum or two.
People from Albania are mostly hospitable and will be happy to introduce you to their country if you spend time there.
