Why I Prefer Albania Over Namibia

Albania is a tiny but cute country on the Mediterranean, close to Greece. Albania is quite possibly the least visited Mediterranean countries but that will change before you know it as more and more travellers appreciate its splendour. Albania has exceptional, white sandy beaches, more of less virgin mountain regions, and vibrant, growing cities.

Albania’s sandy beaches are exceptional. These beaches are mainly white, sandy beaches except there are a dozen pebble beaches as well. You could either lie down in the bright sun on a blanket or hire a sun bed, the option is up to you. Many of the beaches are totally untouched by foreign visitors and a handful are so remote that you could possibly have the beach pretty much all to yourself, even in in during popular times.

There are numerous mountain regions in Albania. Those in the north are great for skiing or hiking and you can find plenty of waterfalls and spectacular lakes in the area. The mountains in that region are brilliant to view but the other mountain regions are also brilliant.

Albanian cities are vibrant with a cafe culture leading to so many great cafes to hang out in. Albania cities for example Saranda are worth spending a few days in to see the unusual old city area and not to mention to visit a few museums.

Most Albanian people are extremely friendly and will be more than pleased to take you around their country if you are there.
