Why I Prefer Albania Over Netherlands
Albania is a fairly small but beautiful country in the south of Europe, near Greece. It is one of the less popular southern European countries but that is slowly changing as more tourists start to take note of its splendour. It has exceptional, pure white sandy beaches, virgin mountain regions, and trendy, changing cities.
Albania’s sandy beaches are fantastic. These are generally white, sandy beaches except there are a few pebble beaches also. You could lie down in the bright sun on a mat or get a sunbed, the choice is yours. Many of the beaches are virtually untouched by foreign visitors and some are so quiet that you could quite possibly have the beach pretty much to yourself, even in August.
There are quite a few interesting mountain places in Albania. These regions in the north are extraordinary for skiing or hiking and you can possibly see at least a few waterfalls and amazing lakes in the area. These mountains are exciting to visit but the other mountain regions are also brilliant.
Albanian cities are bustling with a cafe culture leading to huge numbers of cool cafes to choose from. Albania cities for example Tropoja are worth spending time in to view the unique old city area and not to mention to visit a few museums.
You are sure to find that Albanians are mostly warm and will be more than happy to show you their country if you take the time to visit.
