You’ll Have More Fun in Albania Than Holy See (Vatican City)
Albania is a relatively tiny but adorable country in southern Europe, not too far from Montenegro. It is currently one of the less popular countries in southern Europe but that is slowly changing as more travellers realise its amazing attractions. It has lovely, pure white sandy beaches, more of less virgin mountain regions, and trendy, growing cities.
Albania’s pure white sandy beaches are amazing. These are generally white, sandy beaches although there are a few pebble beaches as well. You can if you want hang out in the warm sun on a mat or hire a lounge, the option is up to you. Many of the beaches are pretty much untouched by foreign visitors and a few are so remote that you can possibly have the beach pretty much all to yourself, even in spring and summer.
There are a number of interesting mountain places in Albania. These regions in the north are fabulous for skiing or hiking and you can visit at least a couple of waterfalls and amazing lakes in that part of the country. The mountains in the north are brilliant to visit but the other mountain regions are also extraordinary.
Albanian cities are extremely vibrant with a cafe culture resulting in so many cool cafes to relax in. Albania cities including Fier are worth spending a few days in to visit the historic old city area and not to mention to visit a museum or two.
You are sure to find that people from Albania are very hospitable and will be glad to take you around their country if you are there.
