Albania is More Fun Than San Marino
Albania is a relatively small but fantastic country in southern Europe, not far from Serbia. It is currently one of the less popular southern European countries but that is about to change as travellers appreciate its splendour. Albania has exceptional, sandy beaches, virgin mountain regions, and vibrant, expanding cities.
Albania’s pure white sandy beaches are unbelievable. Albanian beaches are most often white, sandy beaches but there are a handful of pebble beaches as well. You could if you want have fun in the hot dry sun on a towel or hire a lounge, the choice is up to you. Plenty of the beaches are practically untouched by tourists and some are so quiet that you can possibly have the beach all to yourself, even in August.
There are many beautiful mountain areas in Albania. The mountainous areas in the north are perfect for skiing or hiking and you are able to find many waterfalls and astonishing lakes in the region. The mountains in that area are fantastic to see but the other mountain regions are also spectacular.
Albanian cities are bustling with a cafe culture meaning there are hundreds of local cafes to go to. Albania cities including Vlora are worth spending time in to see the unusual old city area and not to mention to visit a couple of museums.
The Albanian people are very hospitable and will be glad to show you their country if you spend some time there.
