Avoid The Crowds by Vacationing in Albania Not China
Albania is a very small but fantastic country in southern Europe, neighbouring Serbia. It’s one of the less popular countries in Europe but that has already started to change as more travellers start to appreciate its amazing sites. Without a doubt Albania has gorgeous, clean sandy beaches, more of less virgin mountain regions, and young, growing cities.
Albania’s pure white sandy beaches are exceptional. They are mostly white, sandy beaches although of course there are a handful of pebble beaches as well. You can if you want spend time in the warm dry sun on a towel or get a sunbed, the choice is yours. A lot of the beaches are virtually untouched by foreign visitors and a few are so quiet that you can quite possibly have the beach all to yourself, even in in the peak season.
There are plenty of interesting mountain regions in Albania. Those in the north are absolutely amazing for skiing or hiking and you can find a few waterfalls and pristine lakes in the area. The mountains in that region are wonderful to see but the other mountain regions are also extraordinary.
Albanian cities are extremely vibrant with a cafe culture meaning there are huge numbers of cool cafes to relax in. Albania cities such as Durres are worth spending time in to visit the historic old city area and possibly to visit a museum.
