Albania is a relatively tiny but very pretty country in the Balkan region, fairly close to Macedonia. Albania’s sandy beaches are unbelievably beautiful. Albanian beaches are mostly white, sandy beaches although there are a couple of pebble beaches also. You can lie down in the warm sun on a blanket or rent a sun lounge, the option is yours to make. Plenty of the beaches are more or less untouched by foreign tourists and a number are so remote that you can possibly be at the beach alone, even in in during popular times.

There are numerous mountain regions in Albania. Those in the north are absolutely amazing for skiing or hiking and you can also see plenty of waterfalls and spectacular lakes in the region. Those mountains are great to view but the other mountain regions are also brilliant.

Albanian cities are extremely vibrant with a cafe culture so there are a lot of hip cafes to hang out in. Albania cities like Kukes are worth spending time in to view the unique old city area and also to visit a few museums.
