Albania is a relatively small but fun country on the Mediterranean, not far from Montenegro. This country is probably the least visited southern European countries but that will change before you know it as more visitors start to take note of its amazing attractions. It has unbelievable, white sandy beaches, almost virgin mountain regions, and vibrant, improving cities.
Albania’s clean sandy beaches are unbelievably beautiful. The beaches are normally white, sandy beaches although of course there are a dozen or so pebble beaches also. You can lie down in the hot dry sun on a rug or lease a sunbed, the decision is yours. Almost all of the beaches are totally untouched by tourists and a few are so quiet that you can quite possibly be at the beach alone, even in during the peak season.
There are numerous interesting mountain places in Albania. Those in the north are brilliant for skiing or hiking and you can possibly see quite a few waterfalls and clean lakes in the region. The mountains in that area are fantastic to visit but the other mountain regions are also fantastic.
Albanian cities are bustling with a cafe culture resulting in many local cafes to choose from. Albania cities including Berat are worth seeing to visit the unique old city area and not to mention to visit a few museums.
