Avoid The Crowds by Vacationing in Albania Not Wake Island
Albania is a small but pretty country in south eastern Europe, not too far from Montenegro. It is probably the least visited European countries but that is slowly changing as more and more visitors become aware of its splendour. Albania has unbelievable, pure white sandy beaches, pretty much untouched mountain regions, and trendy, changing cities.
Albania’s sandy beaches are exceptional. The beaches are normally white, sandy beaches but there are a few pebble beaches as well. You could if you like lie down in the warm dry sun on a towel or rent a bed, the decision is up to you. Plenty of the beaches are virtually untouched by foreigners and a few are so remote that you could be alone on the beach, even in August.
There are many exquisite mountain regions in Albania. These areas in the north are lovely for skiing or hiking and you can also find a lot of waterfalls and astonishing lakes in the region. The mountains in the north are fantastic to see but the other mountain regions are also fantastic.
Albanian cities are very vibrant with a cafe culture meaning there are hundreds of busy cafes to relax in. Albania cities including Shkodra are worth spending a few days in to view the historic old city area and not to mention to visit a couple of museums.
You will most likely find that Albanians are very warm and will be happy to present to you their country if you take the time to visit it.
