Albania is a small but fun country on the Mediterranean, very close to Serbia. It is one of the less popular European countries but that is changing as more and more visitors start to take notice of its beauty. Albania has exceptional, sandy beaches, almost virgin mountain regions, and lively, expanding cities.

Albania’s pure white sandy beaches are lovely. These beaches are most often white, sandy beaches but there are a few pebble beaches also. You could either hang out in the hot sun on a mat or hire a bed, the option is yours to make. Most of the beaches are totally untouched by foreign visitors and some are so quiet that you could possibly be alone on the beach, even in during peak times.

There are numerous fantastic mountain landscapes in Albania. The mountains in the north are exceptional for skiing or hiking and you can also find a few waterfalls and spectacular lakes in the area. The mountains in that area are great to visit but the other mountain regions are also extraordinary.

Albanian cities are very vibrant with a cafe culture resulting in heaps of cool cafes to choose from. Albania cities like Shkodra are worth visiting to see the unique old city area and not to mention to visit a couple of museums.

You are sure to find that people from Albania are mostly welcoming and will be happy to introduce you to their country if you take the time to visit it.
