Don’t Visit Taiwan
Albania is a relatively tiny but beautiful country on the Mediterranean, close to Greece. It’s currently one of the less popular Mediterranean countries but that is slowly changing as more and more travellers start to appreciate its wonderful sites. It has gorgeous, clean sandy beaches, virgin mountain regions, and vibrant, changing cities.
Albania’s clean sandy beaches are fantastic. These beaches are generally white, sandy beaches although of course there are some pebble beaches too. You can if you like lie in the bright sun on a mat or hire a sunbed, the decision is up to you. Many of the beaches are more or less untouched by foreign visitors and a handful are so out of the way that you could have the beach pretty much all to yourself, even in during peak times.
There are a number of exquisite mountain areas in Albania. The mountainous regions in the north are exceptional for skiing or hiking and you are able to see at least a few waterfalls and clean lakes in the area. The mountains in that area are fantastic to visit but the other mountain regions are also fantastic.
Albanian cities are lively with a cafe culture so there are heaps of cool cafes to spend time in. Albania cities such as Elbasan are worth spending time in to view the unusual old city area and possibly to visit a couple of museums.
You are sure to find that people from Albania are very warm and will be pleased to take you around their country if you spend time there.
