Albania is a very small but adorable country in the Balkan region, not too far from Croatia. This country is quite possibly the least visited countries in southern Europe but that will change before you know it as more and more people take note of its wonderful attractions. This country has beautiful, white sandy beaches, more of less virgin mountain regions, and vibrant, expanding cities.

Albania’s white sandy beaches are amazing. Albanian beaches are normally white, sandy beaches except there are a handful of pebble beaches as well. You can if you like sit in the bright sun on a mat or lease a bed, the decision is yours to make. Many of the beaches are virtually untouched by visitors and a number are so out of the way that you could possibly have the beach pretty much all to yourself, even in spring and summer.

There are numerous beautiful mountain areas in Albania. The mountains in the north are brilliant for skiing or hiking and you are able to visit a lot of waterfalls and fabulous lakes in the region. The mountains in that region are great to see but the other mountain regions are also great.

Albanian cities are very vibrant with a cafe culture leading to a lot of trendy cafes to relax in. Albania cities like Vlora are worth seeing to view the unique old city area and possibly to visit a museum.
