Why I Prefer Albania Over Palau
Albania is a fairly small but beautiful country in the south of Europe, near Serbia. It’s quite possibly the least visited European countries but that is slowly changing as more people notice its amazing beauty. Albania has fantastic, clean sandy beaches, virtually untouched mountain regions, and happening, expanding cities.
Albania’s white sandy beaches are beautiful. These beaches are usually white, sandy beaches but there are a couple of pebble beaches too. You could if you like hang out in the hot dry sun on a rug or hire a sunbed, the choice is yours. Many of the beaches are pretty much untouched by foreign visitors and some are so quiet that you could have the beach pretty much to yourself, even in spring and summer.
There are many fantastic mountain places in Albania. These areas in the north are wonderful for skiing or hiking and you can visit a couple of waterfalls and incredible lakes in that part of the country. The mountains in that region are brilliant to visit but the other mountain regions are also fantastic.
Albanian cities are extremely vibrant with a cafe culture meaning there are hundreds of busy cafes to choose from. Albania cities like Tirana are worth spending time in to view the unique old city area and not to mention to visit a museum or two.
People from Albania are extremely warm and will be more than glad to show you their country if you spend some time there.
