You’ll Have a Better Holiday in Albania Than Croatia
Albania is a little but beautiful country in south eastern Europe, very close to Croatia. This country is one of the least visited countries in Europe but that is most definitely changing as more and more people start to appreciate its amazing attractions. It has unbelievable, pure white sandy beaches, more of less virgin mountain regions, and fun, growing cities.
Albania’s sandy beaches are extraordinary. Albanian beaches are usually white, sandy beaches but of course there are a dozen pebble beaches too. You can if you like lie down in the bright sun on a towel or lease a sunbed, the decision is yours to make. A lot of the beaches are more or less untouched by tourists and some are so quiet that you could possibly have the beach pretty much all to yourself, even in during the peak season.
There are plenty of beautiful mountain landscapes in Albania. Those in the north are fantastic for skiing or hiking and you are able to find quite a few waterfalls and fabulous lakes in that part of the country. The mountains in that region are wonderful to view but the other mountain regions are also brilliant.
Albanian cities are very vibrant with a cafe culture leading to so many local cafes to choose from. Albania cities such as Tropoja are worth seeing to view the unique old city area and also to visit a museum or two.
Albanians are mostly warm and welcoming and will be more than glad to show you their country if you go there.
