Albania is a little but adorable country in the Mediterranean region of Europe, fairly close to Serbia. It’s one of the least visited Mediterranean countries but that is most definitely changing as more visitors start to appreciate its beauty. Without a doubt Albania has fantastic, white sandy beaches, virgin mountain regions, and lively, expanding cities.
Albania’s clean sandy beaches are extraordinary. They are generally white, sandy beaches except there are a handful of pebble beaches as well. You can either lie down in the hot sun on a mat or get a sun bed, the option is up to you to make. Almost all of the beaches are virtually untouched by foreign visitors and a couple are so remote that you can possibly have the beach all to yourself, even in in during popular times.
There are a number of mountain regions in Albania. Those in the north are amazing for skiing or hiking and you can view a couple of waterfalls and pristine lakes in the area. These mountains are exciting to see but the other mountain regions are also spectacular.
Albanian cities are extremely lively with a cafe culture leading to a lot of trendy cafes to visit. Albania cities like Berat are worth seeing to visit the unique old city area and possibly to visit a couple of museums.
