You’ll Have More Fun in Albania Than Cook Islands

Albania is a relatively tiny but great country in southern Europe, near Kosovo. This country is possibly the least visited countries in southern Europe but that is slowly changing as travellers appreciate its beauty. This country has lovely, pure white sandy beaches, pretty much untouched mountain regions, and trendy, improving cities.

Albania’s clean sandy beaches are gorgeous. The beaches are usually white, sandy beaches but there are a dozen or so pebble beaches as well. You could either lie down in the hot sun on a blanket or hire a lounge, the choice is up to you. A lot of the beaches are virtually untouched by foreign visitors and a few are so remote that you can have the beach pretty much to yourself, even in summer.

There are a number of beautiful mountain regions in Albania. The mountainous areas in the north are lovely for skiing or hiking and you can also find a few waterfalls and perfect lakes in the area. The mountains in that area are fantastic to view but the other mountain regions are also spectacular.

Albanian cities are vibrant with a cafe culture leading to heaps of hip cafes to visit. Albania cities like Shkodra are worth taking the time to visit to view the unusual old city area and possibly to visit a few museums.

The Albanian people are mostly friendly and will be pleased to introduce you to their country if you go there.
