You’ll Have More Fun in Albania Than Taiwan
Albania is a small but pretty country in the Balkans, neighbouring Italy. It is one of the least visited southern European countries but that is most definitely changing as more and more visitors start to take notice of its wonderful attractions. It has exceptional, white sandy beaches, more or less untouched mountain regions, and lively, growing cities.
Albania’s sandy beaches are lovely. The beaches are generally white, sandy beaches although there are a dozen or so pebble beaches also. You can either lie in the bright sun on a blanket or rent a sun bed, the decision is yours. Plenty of the beaches are really untouched by foreign tourists and a handful are so quiet that you can possibly be at the beach without anyone else, even in summer.
There are numerous interesting mountain landscapes in Albania. These areas in the north are wonderful for skiing or hiking and you can also see many waterfalls and fabulous lakes in the area. The mountains in that region are fabulous to visit but the other mountain regions are also beautiful.
Albanian cities are bustling with a cafe culture resulting in a lot of busy cafes to choose from. Albania cities including Gjirokastra are worth seeing to visit the unique old city area and possibly to visit a museum.
The Albanian people are extremely friendly and will be more than glad to take you around their country if you spend time there.
