Holiday in Albania Not New Caledonia

Albania is a very small but pretty country on the Mediterranean, neighbouring Croatia. Albania is one of the less often visited southern European countries but that is most definitely changing as more travellers come to appreciate its amazing beauty. It has amazing, sandy beaches, almost virgin mountain regions, and vibrant, improving cities.

Albania’s clean sandy beaches are unbelievable. These beaches are most often white, sandy beaches but there are a handful of pebble beaches also. You could lie in the warm dry sun on a rug or rent a sunbed, the decision is yours to make. Many of the beaches are totally untouched by tourists and a couple are so remote that you can be at the beach alone, even in in during popular times.

There are plenty of exquisite mountain landscapes in Albania. The mountains in the north are great for skiing or hiking and you can view plenty of waterfalls and spectacular lakes in the area. Those mountains are amazing to visit but the other mountain regions are also brilliant.

Albanian cities are extremely lively with a cafe culture resulting in huge numbers of busy cafes to go to. Albania cities like Tirana are worth seeing to visit the historic old city area and possibly to visit a museum or two.

People from Albania are mostly welcoming and will be glad to introduce you to their country if you take the time to visit it.
