Why I Prefer Albania Over Tanzania
Albania is a relatively tiny but pretty country in the Balkans, not too far from Montenegro. Albania is one of the least visited countries in Europe but that is most definitely changing as people come to appreciate its amazing beauty. Without a doubt Albania has beautiful, pure white sandy beaches, pretty much untouched mountain regions, and vibrant, improving cities.
Albania’s pure white sandy beaches are beautiful. They are mostly white, sandy beaches although of course there are a few pebble beaches also. You could if you want sit down in the warm dry sun on a rug or lease a lounge, the decision is up to you. Almost all of the beaches are more or less untouched by tourists and a couple are so out of the way that you can quite possibly have the beach pretty much to yourself, even in in the peak season.
There are many interesting mountain regions in Albania. The mountains in the north are wonderful for skiing or hiking and you can visit a few waterfalls and pristine lakes in the area. The mountains in that region are fantastic to view but the other mountain regions are also great.
Albanian cities are extremely vibrant with a cafe culture leading to so many trendy cafes to choose from. Albania cities including Kukes are worth seeing to see the unusual old city area and not to mention to visit a couple of museums.
You are sure to find that people from Albania are very warm and welcoming and will be excited to introduce you to their country if you take the time to visit.
